Teaser Trailer for the Live Action Cinderella Film Starring Lily James

Here is the first teaser trailer for Cinderalla a live action film version of the classic fairy tale. Lily James plays Ella, a young woman whose merchant father remarries after his wife dies. Ella welcomes her new family: her stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her two new stepdaughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera).

When Ella's father dies, she finds out what her new family is really like. They are cruel and jealous and force Ella to be their servant. Ella meets a handsome stranger in the woods (who is really a prince). When an invitation to the palace ball appears, things get complicated. Richard Madden is the prince and Helena Bonham-Carter is the fairy godmother. This first teaser trailer has only some music and a very dramatic shot of the glass slipper. A live butterfly flies around the shoe until it lands on the shoe and becomes a jeweled accent. That's not much to go on, but the casting sounds interesting. The film is set for a March 13, 2015 release. Take a look:
