Trailer for Noah Starring Russell Crowe, Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly

Here is the first trailer for Noah which stars Russell Crowe as the Biblical ark-builder in this retelling of the story by Darren Aronofsky. Noah Watson, Anthony Hopkins and Jennifer Connelly co-star.

The studio has shown the films to both Evangelical Christian and Jewish audiences, and reportedly both groups were unhappy at how different the film is from the Biblical story. Certainly the CGI looks amazing. And Noah looks like he can throw a javelin with the best of him.

Aronofsky is reportedly at war with the studio over proposed edits to the film to make it more religion-friendly. But Aronofsky (Black Swan) wants to tell the story his way, with unrecognizable animals and a warring Noah who has a daughter instead of sons. The film is set for a March 28, 2014 release.
