Taylor Swift Wins Big at Grammys, Blasts Kanye

Taylor Swift had a big night at the Grammys: she won Album of the Year. She gave an amazing acceptance speech which really resonated with anyone who has had credit for their work or success claimed by another.

She said, "I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, some day when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world."

Many though that the speech was targeted directly at Kanye West who was wrote very disrespectful lyrics about Taylor in "Famous," a single from his new album, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. / Why? I made that bitch famous." The misogynistic lyric has infuriated Taylor and her many fans. Kanye claimed that he didn't disrespect Taylor because calling a woman a bitch in the rap world is a compliment.

Taylor's speech was focused, impassioned and really resonated. She probably was talking to Kanye, but it seemed quite clear that she was telling her fans not to let anyone take credit for their work. Kanye must have gotten the message, or his wife Kim Kardashian told him to take it down a notch on Twitter. He went on another twitter rant last night which ended with the words, "All positive energy." Let's hope he means it. Here is Taylor's speech:
