First Trailer for the Judge Starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Duvall

Warner Bros. just dropped the first trailer for The Judge, an intense drama starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall. Robert Downey, Jr. plays Hank Palmer, a very famous criminal attorney who notes that innocent people can't afford to hire him.

Palmer has a young daughter, but is estranged from his father, played by Robert Duvall. When his mother dies, he goes back to his hometown in Indiana for the funeral and finds that his relationship with his father is as frosty and uncomfortable as ever. When his father is accused of a crime, Hank must defend his father and try to come to term with his difficult childhood. Billy Bob Thornton plays the prosecutor who wants to throw the former judge in jail and throw away the key.

Vera Farmiga, Vincent D'Onofrio, Leighton Meester, Melissa Leo, Dax Shepard and David Krumholtz co star in the film, which was directed by David Dobkin, who also directed Wedding Crashers. The film is set for release on October 10th. Here is the trailer:
