Emmy winner Claire Danes returns as CIA officer Carrie Mathison in the trailer for the fourth season of the Showtime hit series Homeland. This season will premiere on October 5th. The show's creators unveiled the first trailer at the TCA summer press tour presentation.

Now that Damian Lewis (Nicholas Brody has left, the show will reboot. Carrie Mathison has been assigned to a very dangerous overseas post. According to a photo we see during a very fast montage, she's holding a baby who presumably will not be joining her in such a dangerous place.

Showrunner Alex Gansa told Entertainment Weekly that this season is about Carrie being a case officer in a foreign country, which is what she was originally trained to do. she must recruit local assets, liase with the foreign government and deal with the embassy staff, not to mention the country's own spies. The season will be set in Afghanistan and Pakistan with her team trying to deal with the aftermath of American troops being pulled out. The CIA and the State Department are the only ones left in place and things get really tricky.

There will be new cast members this season including Corey Stoll, Michael O'Keefe, Raza Jaffrey and Laila Robins. We also noticed another new addition to the cast, Bradley James, who played King Arthur on the hit British tv series Merlin. Bradley shows up around the :30 mark. He's doing an American accent and is not happy with Mathison and her team yelling at her, "Monsters! all of you." Carries yells at him to get out of her face. He's wearing a military uniform, a visitor's badge and a name tag that says "Edgars." Take a look:
