New Veggietales Christmas Movie Features Si Robertson and Owl City

Big Idea Entertainment is releasing a VeggieTales holiday movie, Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas, this year. Si Robertson, star of Duck Dynasty and Buck Commander, voices a wise okra janitor named Silas in the animated holiday film. The film also stars Larry the Cucumber, the Head Elf of the mall who will stop at nothing to assist a compassionate young girl on her quest to help a neighbor in need for Christmas. The film features the theme song, "Light of Christmas," from Owl City.The film will be released on October 22, 2013.

Leslie Ferrell, President of Big Idea Entertainment, said in a statement, "We're especially excited to be adding a celebrity okra to our star-studded cast of vegetables to give our new holiday DVD added fun and sparkle, while illuminating the core values of VeggieTales. Si Robertson is a perfect fit because, like VeggieTales, Duck Commander is all about celebrating faith and family."
