Warner Bros. Set to Begin Production on Peter Pan

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that production is set to begin on a live-action Peter Pan film. Filming will take place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK. The film will be directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride & Prejudice). Warner Bros says its movie offers a new take on the origin of author J.M. Barrie's characters. The film follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland, where he discovers his destiny to become the hero known as Peter Pan.

The screenplay is written by Jason Fuchs. Greg Berlanti, Paul Webster and Sarah Schechter are producing, with Tim Lewis serving as executive producer.The film is set for a worldwide release on July 17, 2015.
