WPXI Gets Great Footage of The Dark Knight Rises Fight Scene Filmed in Oakland

Local news station WPXI got some very cool video last week of Christopher Nolan filming scenes from The Dark Knight Rises in Oakland, California. The footage shows a very cool fight between Batman (Christian Bale) and Bane (Tom Hardy) fighting on the steps of Gotham City Hall.

One extra described her experience for the Forest Hills Regent Square Patch. Erin and her husband signed up to be extras after reading notice on Twitter. They had a great time, although the scene is set in winter and it was actually blazing hot that day. Erin said, "I know I will never get to do that again and it was amazing to be a part of that and see Chris Nolan directing on the field... It was definitely worth sitting in the heat for 10 hours."
