The Amazing Spider-Man Makes $7.5 Million During Midnight Showings

Reuters reports that the The Amazing Spider-Man took in $7.5 million during midnight showings on Tuesday. That puts it under The Avengers, which made $18.7 million during its midnight opening.

However, Spder-Man is still expected to have a huge opening over the July 4th holiday period. Box Office Mojo says $100 million is a certainty for the film over the six day July 4th period and $150 million is reachable.
