The first trailer for Guy Ritchie's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. has dropped and it is fantastic. The film is a reboot of the popular 1960s spy show which starred Robert Vaughn and David McCallum.

Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) stars as CIA agent Napoleon Solo. To defeat a mysterious new crime organization the U.S. and the USSR must team up despite the fact that it is the height of the Cold War in the early 1960s. Armie Hammer co-stars as Illya Kuryakin, a deadly KGB agent who must team up with Solo.

Solo and Kuryakin are not happy to be working together, but their bosses insist as this new organization is determined to obtain nuclear weapons and destabilize the fragile peace of the time period. To find the organization, the duo must track down the daughter of a missing German scientist and somehow infiltrate the organization.

The trailer is fantastic: it's smart, it's stylish and the cinematography is just breathtaking. Cavill's American accent is pure Robert Vaughn and it's amazing. Hammer has good comic timing when he's in the right role and it appears that this is that role. There are lots of car chases, guns and some old school Cold War spycraft. Plus their boss Waverly is played by Hugh Grant. What more could a Man From U.N.C.L.E. fan want?

The film also stars Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina), Jared Harris (Mad Men), and Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby). Guy Ritchie directed the film which he co-wrote with his Sherlock Holmes collaborator Lionel Wigram. The film hits theaters in August, which is much too far in the future. Take a look:
