Andy Samberg and Imogen Poots Star in the Comedy Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

The Lonely Island released the second trailer for its upcoming comedy Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping which stars Andy Samberg as a Justin Bieber like pop star named Conner4Real whose out of control lifestyle is no comfort when his album sales suddenly take a dive. Determined to get back on top, he implements a new strategy for success.

In this trailer we meet Conner's fiance, played by Imogen Poots. Conner proposes in view of the invited press gallery, but sadly things go horribly wrong when the assembled wolves attack Seal (who is playing himself). What should have been a romantic moment turns into a nightmare, and it's all captured by the media.

At this point we actually feel sorry for Conner, who also has an unfortuate wardrobe malfunction on stage, similar to the scene paparazzi caught Justin Bieber sans clothing during an island vacation. The other two members of the Lonely Island, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone co-wrote and co-star in the film, which looks hilarious. Continuing the Bieber-shaming, Conner is visiting the Ann Frank House and promptly infuriates pretty much everyone around the world with his inappropriate behavior.

Tim Meadows plays Conner's long-suffering manager. The film was produced by Judd Apatow and also stars Sarah Silverman, Maya Rudolph, and Bill Hader. Andy said this week that the cameos are amazing and that he was most surprised when Mariah Carey agreed to to do one. He said she was totally professional with no diva behavior. He said she was also very funny. Other celebs appearing in cameos include Adam Levine, Questlove, DJ Khaled, Usher and Joanna Newsom. The film hits theaters June 3rd. Take a look:
